Crystal Meditation and Journeying


A Simple Crystal Meditation

  • Choose a crystal or stone and find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted for around fifteen minutes
  • If desired, play some calming music
  • Find a comfortable position to sit or lay in.  Now take ten deep breaths, focusing only on your breath coming in and out
  • As you're breathing, begin to relax all the muscles in your body.  You may start from the head down or from the toes up.
  • Once your body is relaxed, continue the deep breathing
  • Now, if you'd like, you can imagine roots growing from your body and going down into the earth. This is a way to ground and center your being.                                                                      > This is also a way to drain all stresses and worries out of you and down into the earth.
  • Now turn all of your attention and senses to your stone.  Study its every crack, edge, rough and smooth spots, colors, patterns, etc.
  • Keep your breathing deep and even as you learn about your stone.
  • Find your favorite spot or spots on the stone.  Allow yourself to get lost in that spot or spots.
  • When you feel ready, close your eyes and hold the stone up to your chest.
  • Take three deep breaths through your stone (imagine you are pulling your air in through the stone and breathing it out through the stone.)
  • Open your eyes and turn your attention back to the stone. Repeat as needed

Crystal Journeying

  • Follow the steps above. Upon returning your attention back to the stone, find your favorite spot on the stone.
  • Focus all of your attention and senses on that one spot.  Allow yourself to become lost in that one spot
  • After a time, imagine you are entering the crystal through that one spot. Allow yourself to be pulled through the world of the crystal.
  • Take in the sites of the interior of the crystal.
  • Allow yourself to explore the depths of the crystal; you may notice it is a lot larger than you may have thought.
  • Explore all of your sensory perceptions while in the crystals world - what you see, hear, feel, and even smell or taste
  • Continue exploring the world of the crystal and its energies. This can help you learn more about your inner self.
  • Do not be afraid if you meet others in the world of the crystal. Listen to what they express and be respectful.
  • When you are ready to return to the regular world, thank the crystal (and any beings you met along the way), and head back to your favorite spot.
  • Imagine yourself exiting through your favorite spot and back into yourself/the regular world.
  • Take ten deep breaths and thank the crystal again
